A Gentle Path to Balance

In a world that glorifies a fast paced lifestyle, more than ever we need space to reconnect with a place of peace inside, to reclaim our health, soothe our minds, nurture our bodies and remember that we hold far more inner power than we’ve ever been taught to believe.

I’m a Reiki Practitioner and Yoga Teacher. I also offer events, workshops and retreats that blend ancient wisdom with modern practices, creating experiences that help you reconnect, reset and support ongoing healing from the inside out.

Client Testimonials

FAQs

  • Most people experience deep relaxation, warmth, tingling, or a sense of calm. Some feel very little physically but notice emotional or mental shifts afterward. After a treatment you may feel deeply relaxed and sleepy or very energised. We are all extremely different with our individual stories, experiences, complexities, lifestyles and backgrounds which is why each of us will experience Reiki differently.

There’s no “right” way to experience it.

  • Reiki can be a helpful complementary support for these challenges but it isn’t a replacement for medical or therapeutic treatment. Many people experience deep relaxation during sessions, which can ease anxiety and help the body shift out of stress mode. This moves the body from fight or flight into rest and digest speeding up the bodies natural healing processes. For those healing from trauma, Reiki may create a sense of safety and grounding that supports other therapeutic work. Reiki has personally helped me process my trauma. When it comes to chronic pain, some clients notice reduced tension and temporary pain relief as the nervous system settles.

Everyone responds differently but Reiki can be a gentle, supportive addition to a broader healing plan.

  • Absolutely. Reiki can work alongside therapy, medication and other supportive practices without interfering with them. It’s not a replacement for medical or psychological care but it can complement them well.

Reiki helps settle the mind and body, which often makes it easier to process what you’re working on in therapy or cope with whatever your treatment plan involves. Many people use it as a way to soften stress, regulate their nervous system, reduce anxiety or physical pain and create a bit more internal space.

  • Distance Reiki Sessions focus on the same intention as in-person work: helping your system settle, regulate and release tension. Instead of physical touch, I guide the session on zoom from my space while you rest in yours. All you need to do is be somewhere you can relax without interruption.

People are often surprised that the experience feels just as strong as an in-person session. The body responds to focused attention and a calm, regulated presence whether we’re in the same room or not. The session structure is the same. Clients often find remote sessions surprisingly effective because they can relax in their own environment without travel stress and because Reiki is incredibly helpful for those who struggle to sleep, this is an option often used before bed meaning clients can drift into a restful sleep directly after or sometimes during the session.

  • There isn’t a “right” rhythm for everyone. Some people come for weekly sessions, especially when dealing with long-term stress or emotional patterns, others dip in monthly and some only come when life starts to feel heavy again. It’s deeply personal.

Reiki isn’t about chasing a quota or trying to fix yourself. It’s about giving your system space to breathe, soften and regulate. When I was suffering with PTSD, insomnia and extreme physical pain I needed that support once or twice a week as it felt like the only time I wasn’t suffering. Those sessions helped me stay afloat. As things slowly eased, I naturally found myself coming every two weeks, then once a month and eventually only when I felt the pull.

Your body and your heart will tell you.

  • No. You don’t have to believe in anything for the session to have an effect.

People come in skeptical all the time and I was also one of them. In my decade of experience I am yet to come across a skeptic that hasn’t received any benefits from Reiki. What matters is that you’re open to the experience, your body will respond in its own way.

  • Possibly, yes. As the body relaxes, emotions that have been held tightly can rise to the surface. This is normal and often part of the release process. If anything comes up, you’ll be guided through it safely.

  • Yes. Reiki is a completely non-invasive, gentle and natural holistic therapy. It doesn’t interfere with medications or treatment plans and is highly recommended by Cancer Research and used as a palliative or supportive therapy for people with cancer.
